1st Step:
Research and Identification of Heirs
We take over the inheritance case commissioned by the probate court or on our own initiative.
We reconstruct the family tree of the deceased person - if necessary, across national borders.
Based on the family relationships, we identify all potential heirs.
2nd Step:
Contacting the heirs
We contact the potential heirs.
We diligently describe the situation and explain our approach.
We offer all heirs a Fee Contract based on which we advance our investigations up to the conclusion of the case.
The heirs grant us powers of attorney, through which we can complete the further proceedings with the authorities on their behalf.
3rd Step:
Evidence Management
By means of the heirs' powers of attorney, we inspect the details of the probate file at the probate court.
We obtain - at our expense - all necessary documents and deeds in certified form in order to legitimize the inheritance claims vis-à-vis the court.
In international cases, we also take care of certified translations.
4th Step:
Application for the Certificate of Inheritance
We review all documents and forward them, along with the family tree, to the probate court.
We draft the application for a Certificate of Inheritance and the corresponding affidavit for the community of heirs.
We accompany the probate court proceedings until the Certificate of Inheritance is issued. Fees for the Certificate of Inheritance are borne by us.
5th Step:
Settlement of the Estate by the Estate Trustee
The trustee closes the accounts and securities accounts of the decedent.
They also sell any real estate and valuables.
6th Step:
Disbursement
A specialized tax advisor governs the inheritance tax procedure.
The probate court pays the inheritance into a trustee account.
Inheritance shares are paid out to the heirs.
We receive the remuneration agreed upon in the Fee Contract.
